"Dr. Matt" is Kona's only private practicing, board certified, pediatric dentist. "Dr. Matt" sees newborns through teenage patients. His number one priority is providing the highest quality dentistry in the safest, most comfortable possible setting for your child. Parents are always welcome to be with their child at all times during their child's dental visits. "Dr. Matt" offers cosmetic dental services for parents that do not want stainless steel crowns tarnishing their child's beautiful little smile. For some young kids with significant dental needs, "Dr. Matt" offers their treatment to be performed in the safest possible environment with an anesthesiologist (a medical doctor) in the Kona Community Hospital operating room, two days a week, performing comprehensive dental rehabilitation in one visit while the child is asleep under general anesthesia. It is important to note though, that most kids will receive treatment in a normal dental clinic setting where they are able to lay-back, relax, and watch the newest-released movies on a big screen positioned on the ceiling above them. "Dr. Matt" is an instructor associated with New York University's Hawaii Region Pediatric Dental Residency Program and teaches young dentists training to become pediatric dental specialists on a weekly basis. You will not find a more dedicated, compassionate, informed, or qualified pediatric dental provider on the island.
