Dr. Andrew Richardson was born in San Antonio, Texas and traveled all across the nation with his Air Force family. His family eventually settled in Alabama where he finished high school in Montgomery. In 2008, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Auburn University with a degree in Biomedical Science and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. Dr. Richardson then went on to receive his doctorate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2012. After graduating, he entered into a pediatric specialty program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center Batson Children’s Hospital in 2012.

Dr. Richardson was selected to be the Chief Resident in 2013, sharing his experience, leadership, and skills with faculty and his fellow residents. After completing the two year pediatric specialty program, Dr. Richardson is well-trained in all aspects of pediatric care from infant oral care to managing special needs children and adults. He is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support and has also been trained in oral sedation procedures.
Dr. Richardson and his loving wife, Mallory, along with their daughters, Lila and Tessa, are looking forward to calling Cahaba Heights and Vestavia Hills home and becoming an integral member to the community. We can’t wait to add you and your child to our practice family!
